Under European standard EN10025_6,at the 550 Mpa yield strength there are three steel grades S550Q,S550QL 

and S550QL1.The main difference between these three grades shall be the impacting test temperature.S550Q 

steel plate is at minus 20 centidegree.All these grades have to be done Heat treatment under Quenched and 

tempered.

Before taking delivery of steel plates S550Q,our mill have to do all the relative tests in mill laboratory,such as main 

chemical elements analysis,the values of yield strength & tensile strength for the sample pieces,Heat treatment 

property and others.When all the test result are coincident with EN standard,the plates can be transported out of 

mill’s products warehouse.
