Shipbuilding steel plate and sheet A131 Grade FH36 and A131 Grade EH36 both belong to steel standard ASTM A131/A131M which covers structural steel plates,shapes,rivets and bars for use in ship&vessel constructions.Steel materials under this specification can be categorized as ordinary strength steel plates such as A131 Grade A,A131 Grade B,A131 Grade D,A131 Grade E,and also high strength steel plates such as A131 Grade AH36,A131 Grade DH36,A131 Grade EH36,A131 Grade FH36 and other steel grades.

Merine steel plate A131 Grade FH36 and A131 Grade EH36 are also named as A131GrFH36 and A131GrEH36 for short.Actually they are the same steel grades.Both these two steel grades shall be delivery as TMCP or Normalized after rolling.Else,shipbuilding steel sheet A131 Grade FH36 have to be done low temperature impacting test under minus 60 centi degree,and shipbuilding steel sheet A131 Grade EH36 shall be done this test under minus 40 centidegree.
